Healing Together workshop

Strengthening Culturally Responsive Postvention Support (SCRPS)

AMSANT, in partnership with StandBy NT, is pleased to offer Healing Together, a two-day face-to-face workshop supporting workers who walk alongside families and communities after a suicide loss. The workshop is delivered on request, with limited availability remaining for 2026. Requests for 2027 are also now being taken.

What we do

Healing Together is co-designed to recognise and strengthen the culturally grounded care that Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations and communities already provide. Rather than introducing an outside model, the workshop builds on existing community strengths, offering practical knowledge, shared language and stronger connections across services involved in postvention support.

The workshop is grounded in the SEWB whole-person framework, honouring the connections between spirit, body, mind, family, culture, country and community. Over the two days, participants explore culturally responsive and trauma-informed approaches to postvention, coordinated support processes, and ways of working that respect community leadership, cultural protocols and sorry business.

An optional third day is also available for services wishing to map coordinated postvention supports in their own community context. This day is service-led and can be arranged separately.

Because delivery is request-based, workshops can be tailored to your service and community context, including timing and location. As 2026 availability is limited, we encourage services to get in touch early to discuss options for this year or to secure a place in 2027.

To request a workshop or to make an enquiry, email: sewb.training@amsant.org.au

We warmly encourage teams to attend together, as shared learning strengthens coordinated support back home.
